    Your Opportunity

    As a Civil Engineer with Snyder & Associates, you’ll work directly with our clients in a hands-on role that focuses on the planning, design and delivery of projects. You’ll perform civil engineering from design through construction, while utilizing your significant design and practice experience in a lead designer role. During the beginning phases of a project, you’ll listen intently to our clients and identify the proper approach to design fit-for-purpose solutions.     Fundamental Responsibilities

    • Contribute to a range of civil and municipal projects, varying widely in complexity and scope. This is a hands-on role in planning, design, and delivery of projects from start to finish.
    • Team leadership for the delivery of planning and design projects.
    • Client liaison as needed with a focus on relationship management and building trust
    • Assign and oversee the support work of other professionals and designers as needed.
    • Meet client expectations and maintain sensitiviy to project budgets by managing your pace and productivity.
    • Maintain a high standard of quality, creativity, and collaboration within your colleagues.
    • Build positive working relationships with clients through proactive communication, commitment to service, and flexibility to address shifting priorities.
    • Effectively interact with people of all technical skill levels through verbal and written communication.


    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of eight years civil engineering experience, preferably in a consultative capacity with a focus on general civil or municipal engineering.
    • Relevant experience on the North American continent.
    • Professional Engineer license.
    • A sound understanding and disciplined approach to project management practices.
    • Experience in urban and rural projects that can range from transportation, bridges, municipal, water/wastewater and/or stormwater management
    • Demonstrated success working as an individual contributor and also with project teams and related staff from design through construction.
    • Proven experience coaching and guiding design staff.
    • Efficient and organized work skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills leading to positive relationships with coworkers, clients and communities.
    • Proven track record of completing assignments on time and within budget.
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical subject matter to diverse audiences.
